Hey there!

Born to an artist and a music teacher, Meredith Layne was exposed to the arts early on. She took to singing, starting her training in classical voice and performing at every opportunity. After transferring to a performing arts school, ML was cast as Eponine in Les Mis and decided musical theatre was all she ever wanted to do.

Now a junior MT student at Manhattan School of Music, she continues to pursue her education while actively working in New York City. Most recently, she had her off-Broadway debut as Dot/Marie in NxtGeneration's production of Sunday in the Park with George at the John Cullum Theatre.

A closer look...

ML is a passionate artist, and because of that, places an enormous emphasis on giving back to her community through art. Meredith Layne is a major supporter of charity theatre and local efforts to make a difference. She often participates in her local biannual 24 Hour Musical that gives back to charities like 141 Impact, who help impoverished children with necessities and schooling, and Abundantly More, who provide clothing and comfort to foster kids in the Charleston area. SHEEP Musical Theatre, the producers of the 24 Hour Musical, have also joined Meredith Layne in raising money for the American Cancer Society's Charleston Hope Lodge in honor of her late father.
